Silent Scarlett Speaks! - *An update*

Scarlett has spoken! She started saying "Mama" clearly and also "bebe" (baby) about a week ago. Today we were getting ready to go have Christmas pictures taken at the studio I work at, and I told her she looked pretty, and she said "pitty." I'm starting to think that maybe she just took her time with the whole speaking thing. But I am still going to have an assessment done but the speech program in our area, just to be sure.  

This picture was taken about a week ago when it snowed here for the 1st time this season.We headed outside so Scarlett could check it out for herself since she was a bit too small last winter to be playing in the snow.

Remembrance day

Today was Scarlett's 2nd remembrance day ceremony. She was very good for a 17 month old child that couldn't see anything but people's bums. No embarrassing outbursts during the moment of silence. I was very grateful for her being such a mellow girl.

Best big sister in the world!

I was making supper earlier tonight and heard laughter from the living room and came in to see this. My 6 year old daughter Kaileyanna just loves her little sister and is a huge help most days. Other days she just makes her scream, but since she's 6, we'll go with the majority and she's amazing!

Silent Scarlett

Since this is my first post I decided to post something just to post today. This is my youngest daughter.  We started baby signing when she was about 5 months. She is now 17months, and still doesn't say a word! I'm slightly concerned, but not overly. She still does everything else a 17month old child does, except talk.  I'm not sure if it's because she a second child, or if it's because of the signing, or if maybe she's just lazy.  She knows enough signs to get her what she wants.  She does "please", "thank you" "bubba(milk)" "hungry" she also says "gee" for our cat named Tiggy and says mama + daddy but not directly to us.  Any input would be great!
